Rio Lomas is a lovely residential neighborhood in the southernmost point of Bullhead City, Arizona, along its border with Fort Mohave. The neighborhood is between the Mohave Crossroads Shopping Center to the north and the Clearwater Hills subdivision to the south. The area is a collection of multiple residential developments and subdivisions geared towards the ever-increasing demand for housing during the latter part of the 20th century. The suburb is ideally located close to the northern part of Fort Mohave and the southern edges of Bullhead City. Residents enjoy easy access to a nearby shopping center with public parks, schools, and the many golf clubs, to the south being a short drive away.
Home builds in the community range between the 1980s and 1990s with a distinct difference in design between these two decades. Homes built in the 1980s retain the typical affordable home style in the region during that era. Houses then featured a lengthwise house design with open spaces on either side of the home lot. One side is an offer open patio, while the other serves as a spacious carport with room for multiple vehicles or a boat. Homes developed in the 90s feature the more traditional suburban home build with attached front-facing garages and traditional craftsman-style designs. Home layouts in the neighborhood are a bit larger than similar neighborhoods in the city. Properties typically come with three or four-bedroom builds with 1,400 sqft to 2,000 sqft of living space. Property prices are close to the median average in the city, with some newer custom builds that have replaced the older homes in the area being priced between $250,000 to $350,000.
